BergTourenPlaner is Free Software and you can download it here!
There are precompiled Windows packages, which have been tested on Windows XP, 7 & 8 machines:
Moreover you can get the latest source code. BTP is written in C++ using the Qt 5.1 programming environment. If you are interested in working with the code, I suggest you start looking at the following important classes: MainWindow, MAP, Routing, STRONGcalc, PowerAnalysis, Track and WayHeight. See BTP Documentation for details.
Click on the map to download a data set from the grid of mid europe. Multiple data sets can be merged by loading them to BTP using 'Data->load btp'. 'Data->save.btp' saves the region currently shown und possibly cuts the data rect.
The following data sets can be used with BTP 4. Please be aware that they might be too big for your machine regarding memory consumption. BTP datasets can be cut to increase BTP performance. This can be done by choosing “Data → save btp” and will result in a new data file covering the currently displayed area. Of course you can generate your own data sets following the instructions at BTP manual
